Children's Programs

Our FREE Children's programs are suitable for school children from 5 to 14 years of age.The program is currently held every Thursday from 3:30-5:00pm in Birtinya. During this time the children will engage in various activities such as fitness activities, ball skills, social discussions, hearing about the importance of education and school, arts and craft, activities and games to help stimulate their mind and also make new friends along the way. The programs are conducted by trained professionals who hold the relevant experience and Blue Cards for Working With Children.

Our team embraces learning about culture and incorporates closing the gap within our programs and cultural awareness education.

Our programs aims to improve 3 important outcomes for the children, these are the improvement of-

- Mental Health Outcomes;

- Social Inclusion Outcomes; and

- Physical Health Outcomes.

All activities are age appropriate and will challenge them to develop new skills and increase participation. The program has a mix of physical activity, games, storytelling, discussion about feelings and emotions and the importance of emotional regulation, reflection, journal entries, health eating and a range of activities that allow creativity and learning.

All children are welcome to attend this program free of charge and it is a requirement of the parent/guardian of the child to fill in our registration form and sign it prior to the child attending. This form will ensure we have all relevant contact details as well as any requirements specific to each child such as dietary, disability or existing medical conditions as well as consents for photographs to be taken and used on our website and social media outlets.

Once registered, you will receive a confirmation text and email welcoming your child to the program and with more specific details about where to drop off and pick up and parking that is available!
